Director of Product Marketing

Job Summary

Reporting to the VP of Product Marketing, the Director of Product Marketing based in North America will direct, supervise and execute product planning and product development strategies for GoerTek's solutions for North America and Europe markets. This individual will collaborate with the senior leadership team to organize and execute quarterly roadmap meetings and drive the execution of roadmap meeting outputs.

He/she will also oversee the development of marketing plans, development of marketing & sales material, generation and management of product management deliverables including market research & analysis, comprehensive marketing requirement documentation, industrial design, product forecasts, and ROI analysis.

  • Partner with Sales in the achievement of Sales Target and drive new opportunities with Sales.
  • Develop Sales tools and presentations; product concepts and ideas, competitive research and analysis and validate opportunities.
  • Develop roadmap, technology trends and market vision
  • Integrate new technologies and market opportunities into product roadmaps; suggest internal technology investigations and studies
  • Integrated marketing management to meet company requirement (exhibition planning, management and execution).
  • Develop technology partnership with key technology providers. Understand roadmap offering of new technology in the market related to GoerTek.
  • Prepare and participate in briefings, technical meetings, tactical or strategic planning with other functional areas and/or executive management.
  • Lead and direct a team of product marketing directors and managers. Manage the recruitment process. Responsible for training and development of product management staff.
  • Takes charge of developing, maintaining and fine-tuning product management procedures; ensure projects follow product management procedures and manage deviation in special cases.
  • Function as the key interface from a product management perspective to actively explore, identify and integrate new technology into GoerTek's product portfolio by working closely with new technology providers and GoerTek Engineering teams


  • B.S. in EE or CS and at least 8-10 years' product experience in a consumer electronics industry
  • Proven record in penetrating new customers or championing revenue growth in existing customers and getting product's to market that innovate and exceed market demands.
  • Ability to lead, collaborate, negotiate and work effectively with cross-functional development teams.
  • Direct experience in product marketing and product management of accessories for Smart Phones, Tablets, Game Consoles, and/or Smart TV customers strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate market requirements to marketing specification requirements for consumption by internal development teams and effectively communicating such requirements to various parts of the organization (R&D, Mfg, etc.).
  • Strong leadership skills with ability to influence and lead across organizational boundaries.
  • Ability to create focus throughout the organization by setting priorities, and driving teams towards clear targets within a matrix structure.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Strong project management skills, can manage and execute large projects with global team participation
  • Ability to travel 30% of the time both domestically and internationally.
  • Conversational ability in Mandarin a plus.
